NEURODIVERGENT CONSULTATION FOR SELF-DIAGNOSIS

This informal consultation is intended for individuals who suspect they may be autistic and/or ADHD and are seeking exploratory understanding and self-diagnosis confirmation. You will receive enough education and support to help you feel confident with your own self-diagnosis and be able to explain it to others. A consultation does not result in any formal diagnosis and will not provide any direct documentation for requests for accommodations, additional support or medication. A clinical report will not be included however thoughts and impressions of neurodivergence (traits of autism and/or ADHD) will be offered. In place of a written report, a one page letter that confirms or disconfirms self-diagnosis along with a personalized list of recommended resources will be provided.

Consultation process (held in-person on a Thursday or Saturday):
Step 1: Initial consultation to explain the process and assess needs (30 min)
Step 2: Completion of online Self-Assessments (RAADS-R, AQ, ASRS-5, CAT-Q, MQ) (40 min)
Step 3: Clinical Interview (2 to 2.5 hours)
Step 4: Feedback session along with a one page letter and personalized list of resources/referrals (1 hour)

INDIVIDUAL NEURODIVERGENT CONSULTATIONS

I offer 1:1 hour-long consultations for:

1) Individuals diagnosed or self-realized ADHD or autistic who want assistance integrating their new diagnosis or self-identity. This is different from therapy in that a consultation is mostly educational in nature. Because neurodivergent presentation is different for everyone, we will look at your particular profile, strengths and current challenges, and ways to best support your neurology. A consultation can include discussions around:

Sensory systems and sensory triggers
Time management
Daily routines and habits
Reducing stress and overwhelm
Energy management
Social connectedness
Managing co-occuring chronic health conditions
Managing work environments
Exploring living more authentically through unmasking
And more….

2) Professionals seeking assistance working with neurodivergent clients. Please note that I offer consultation and not supervision. With consultation, you, as the treating clinician, maintain full clinical responsibility for the services you deliver your clients.
